Everton and West Ham United both want to sign Ainsley Maitland-Niles this summer after being released by Arsenal.

Ainsley Maitland-Niles is attracting Premier League interest with Everton and West Ham United both keen on signing him.

That is according to Fussball Transfers over in Germany, who claim that some Bundesliga sides have been sniffing around Maitland-Niles.

However, the strongest interest currently comes from the Premier League with four clubs believed to be very interested.

It’s stated that Everton, West Ham United, Crystal Palace and Sheffield United all want to land Maitland-Niles this summer.

Teams in Turkey are interested too with Maitland-Niles a wanted man having become a free agent this summer.

Arsenal have finally moved on from Maitland-Niles, allowing his contract to expire this summer.

The 25-year-old is now searching for a new club after suffering relegation whilst on loan with Southampton this past season.

Ainsley Maitland-Niles a versatile option for Everton and West Ham

Maitland-Niles has shown off his versatility in years gone by having played as a right back, right wing back, left back and midfielder.

That will appeal to Everton, who are seeking additions in all of the mentioned areas.

Veteran Seamus Coleman is coming off another injury whilst Nathan Patterson hasn’t yet proven himself in the Premier League.

Maitland-Niles can offer another body there whilst also supporting Sean Dyche’s midfield options with Amadou Onana wanted elsewhere.

West Ham have used a number of players at right back, including Vladimir Coufal, Ben Johnson and Thilo Kehrer.

Maitland-Niles would have a genuine chance of playing there though, or possibly in midfield with Declan Rice on his way out.

Interest from Everton and West Ham certainly makes sense and Maitland-Niles would surely love another Premier League chance.
