The goalkeeper is renowned for his reliability – which is not something that can be said for the shot-stoppers at Everton’s and West Ham’s disposal.

Everton and West Ham United are eyeing up a move for France international goalkeeper Stephane Ruffier, Foot Sur 7 reports, as they aim to lock down a somewhat problem position.
Toffees boss Ronald Koeman purchased former Southampton bench warmer Maarten Stekelenberg in the summer though, after a string of error-riddled performances and an injury in the Merseyside derby defeat in December, Joel Robles has taken his place between the sticks.
Meanwhile, down at the London Stadium, the Daily Mail reported that manager Slavan Bilic had made a new shot-stopper his top priority after losing faith with both Adrian and Darren Randolph.
And St Etienne goalkeeper Ruffier would appear an excellent addition. The 30-year-old played every minute of every season from 2011 and 2016 and, if it wasn’t for the consistency of Hugo Lloris, would surely have won more than just three caps for his country.

Foot Sur 7 reports that both Everton and West Ham have sent scouts to watch the former Monaco ‘keeper, who is renowned for his reflexes and concentration, while Liverpool are also considering entering the race.
Like the aforementioned duo, The Reds have switched between their one goalkeeper and another with Loris Karius (below) coming under fire for a number of high-profile errors and Simon Mignolet, though more reliable this season, still fails to fully convince.
