Everton, West Bromwich Albion and Leicester City are interested in signing Hovhannes Hambardzumyan from FK Vardar in the summer transfer window, according to The Sun, as reported in The Mirror’s Transfer news LIVE blog (13:03, June 5).
Hambardzumyan has been on the books of Vardar since the summer of 2014 and has a contract until June 2019, according to Transfermarkt.co.uk.
The 25-year-old is an Armenia international and can play at full-back and in midfield.

The versatile footballer started his professional career at Banants Yerevan and played for them until the end of the 2013-14 season.
It is interesting that major Premier League clubs such as Everton, West Brom and Leicester are (reportedly) interested in securing the services of Hambardzumyan this summer.

Hambardzumyan is unproven in a major domestic league, but he will remain so until and unless he gets a chance.
Perhaps the Armenia international would prove to be a hidden gem who would take the Premier League by storm next season.
Leicester will probably consider themselves the favourites among the three Premier League clubs to sign Hambardzumyan, as they are the current English champions and can offer him Champions League football next season.
“The next step for me is the Premier League,” Hambardzumyan told The Sun regarding his future. “I know it is a step up but physically I have evolved a lot and I am ready for the challenge of adapting.
“Playing in Champions League qualifying matches and international games have proved to me that I can move to a bigger club.”
