Arsenal, Chelsea, Everton, Liverpool, Manchester City, Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur are all keen on Rochdale’s Daniel Adshead.

According to The Mirror, Everton and Tottenham Hotspur are among the clubs to have registered an interest in snapping up Rochdale teenager Daniel Adshead.
Adshead, 16, made his first-team debut for Rochdale in the Checkatrade Trophy tie with Bury last week, starting the game and completing 90 minutes as he continues to receive plaudits at Spotland.
The midfielder, who already stands at over 6ft tall, has been touted for a huge future ever since he began training with the Rochdale first team aged just 14, with big clubs now circling.
The Mirror report that seven Premier League clubs – Arsenal, Chelsea, Everton, Liverpool, Manchester City, Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur – have all been monitoring Adshead, with a view to moving for him in 2018.
It’s even noted that European giants Barcelona and Bayern Munich are also keen on signing Adshead, who is expected to leave Rochdale when he leaves school in May 2018.
A mass scramble could ensue for Adshead’s signature next summer, having been billed as one of the top young prospects in England, with North West clubs Everton, Liverpool, Manchester City and Manchester United hoping that their proximity to Rochdale can be a boost to their hopes.
Tottenham Hotspur’s record of developing young English players under Mauricio Pochettino may also be appealing to Adshead, who should be able to see a clear path to first-team football with the North London side.
Bayern Munich made a similar move to sign Dale Jennings from Tranmere Rovers in 2011, but his failed career since that move may mean Adshead chooses to stay in England and try his luck with one of the Premier League’s big boys, with no shortage of interest.
