Everton and Sunderland are reportedly keen on signing Ludogorets star Jonathan Cafu, who has been linked with a move to Aston Villa.
According to Voetbalzone, Everton and Sunderland are just two of the clubs interested in signing Ludogorets forward Jonathan Cafu during this month’s transfer window.
Cafu, 25, endured a fairly disappointing start to his career, as he turned out for the likes of Desportivo Brasil, Boavista, XV de Piracicaba, Capivariano, Ponte Preta and Sao Paulo before joining Ludogorets in 2015.

After initially starting in the second team of the Bulgarian side, Cafu quickly jumped into the first team – and hit seven goals in just 24 games in his first season for the club.
This term, the Brazilian has starred, scoring 11 times in 28 appearances, including four goals in Europe, scoring and grabbing an assist against Arsenal in November.

Those performances appear to have attracted interest, as Sportal reported in November that Aston Villa were keen to land Cafu during the January transfer window – and more English teams are allegedly interested.
Voetbalzone report that Everton, Leicester City and Sunderland are all looking to sign Cafu, though Ludogorets will demand at least €10million (£8.5million) for their Brazilian winger, who has a Bulgarian passport, so would qualify for a work permit.
Everton will almost certainly be in the market for a new winger given that Yannick Bolasie’s knee injury will rule him out for up to a year, with Cafu potentially fitting the bill, whilst Sunderland will be desperate for any kind of attacking reinforcement – but whether Moyes will have £8.5million to spend is another matter.
The report adds that Lazio, Lyon, Schalke and Trabzonspor are also interested in signing Cafu, meaning there could be a January scramble for the wide man’s signature this month.
