Arsenal, Chelsea, Everton, Tottenham and Manchester United scouts reportedly watched Koln v Leverkusen last week.
According to the Daily Mail, Tottenham Hotspur were among the clubs represented when Koln hosted bitter rivals Bayer Leverkusen in the Bundesliga last week.
Koln took on neighbours Leverkusen in the Rhine derby last Wednesday, with Anthony Modeste opening the scoring for hosts before Wendell’s equaliser handed the visitors a point.
The result keeps Leverkusen four points behind their rivals, and whilst the game may have slipped under the radar for many, it seems that some Premier League clubs took a keen interest in the game.

The Daily Mail report that Tottenham Hotspur sent scouts to watch the game, and so did Premier League rivals Arsenal, Chelsea, Everton and Manchester United, with two Leverkusen players noted as potential targets.
It’s stated that Turkish playmaker Hakan Calhanoglu and German winger Julian Brandt were two players under scrutiny from Premier League clubs, who will be looking for reinforcements in the January transfer window.

Calhanoglu, 22, has starred for Leverkusen since signing from Bundesliga rivals Hamburg in the summer of 2014, and he’s now hit 26 goals in 122 games for the club, attracting interest in the process.
In August, Sky Sports reported that Tottenham were keen on bringing Calhanoglu to England, and whilst they could resurrect their interest in January, other Premier League rivals appear to be interested too, with Chelsea allegedly taking a keen interest in him.
Meanwhile, 20-year-old winger Brandt has been impressing whilst coming up through the ranks at Leverkusen, having moved from Bundesliga rivals Wolfsburg as a teenager.
Brandt is a well-built winger at 6ft 1in tall, but also has good pace to trouble defences, and the four-cap Germany international has grabbed three goals and six assists this season, meaning it’s no surprise that Premier League teams are looking at him ahead of the January transfer window.
