According to Sport, Barcelona see Everton and Southampton target Jean-Clair Todibo as a “genuine gold mine”.

It has been reported that Premier League duo Everton and Southampton have made offers for the 20-year-old central defender.

However, according to the report, Barcelona are waiting to sell the youngster to the highest bidder or use him in a deal to sign Lautaro Martinez from Inter Milan.

The Frenchman, who can also operate as a defensive midfielder, is on loan at Schalke at the moment.

Football in England and Spain is suspended at the moment due to the global health crisis, and it remains to be seen when the summer transfer window opens.

Stats

Todibo joined Schalke on loan from Barcelona in the January transfer window until the end of the season.

According to WhoScored, the Frenchman has made two starts and three substitute appearances in the Bundesliga.

The defender played 77 minutes in La Liga for Barca this campaign before his loan move to Schalke in January, according to WhoScored.

Todibo is a very talented and promising young defender who would be a good signing for Everton or Southampton for the long term at the right price.
