According to The Times, Everton wanted to sign Danny Rose from Premier League rivals Tottenham Hotspur in the summer of 2018.

It has been reported that the Toffees and German club Schalke were the two clubs who were “most vigorous” in trying to secure the services of the England international left-back.

Interestingly, Everton are reported to be interested in bringing the 28-year-old defender to Goodison Park this summer.

According to The Daily Star, Tottenham want to sign Everton left-back Lucas Digne this summer.

The report has claimed that the Merseyside outfit will consider the switch, but only if they are able to sign Rose as part of the deal.

Rose has been on the books of Tottenham since 2007, but the Englishman has struggled with injuries in recent years, and he is not guaranteed a place in the manager Mauricio Pochettino’s side at the moment.

According to WhoScored, the left-back made 20 starts in the Premier League for Spurs this season and has played 439 minutes in the Champions League for the North London outfit this campaign.
