Everton, Newcastle United, and West Ham are reportedly linked with a move for Leicester City striker Islam Slimani in January.
Leicester City paid a club-record fee of £29 million, as reported by BBC, for Islam Slimani, but the Algerian striker has cut a sorrow figure in England.
The 29-year-old scored eight goals last season, and is yet to score in the Premier League so far. The former Sporting CP striker is facing an uncertain future at the club, and a move away from Leicester probably would be ideal for him.
Crystal Palace and Watford have been linked with a move for the striker in January. But it seems other Premier League clubs are also interested in taking a gamble on him.
According to reports from Le Buteur, a trio of Premier League clubs – Everton, Newcastle United and West Ham United are reportedly interested in securing his signature.
Both Everton and Newcastle are looking to bolster their attacking department in the summer, and signing a striker is a top priority for these clubs.
Leicester will be looking to recoup a significant portion of the money they have spent on him, and as such Slimani won’t be available for cheap.
