According to TEAMtalk, Everton and Newcastle United are among the clubs making regular checks on Middlesbrough defender Djed Spence.
It’s claimed that the Premier League duo are keeping close tabs on Spence ahead of potentially making a move to sign him.
Crystal Palace and Wolverhampton Wanderers are also keen on Spence, meaning Boro may face a battle to keep hold of him either his month or at the end of the season.
Spence, 20, has become a regular for Boro having arrived from Fulham in the summer of 2018, scoring once in 23 games this season.
Spence is quick and exciting going forward with experience at both right wing back and right back, and looks set for a big future.
Boro boss Neil Warnock even compared him to Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Trent Alexander-Arnold last year, predicting that he will make it to the ‘very top’ of the game.

Everton and Newcastle seem to have spotted Spence’s potential, with the Toffees possibly in the market for a new right back if Jonjoe Kenny moves on.
Newcastle have been linked with a number of right backs with DeAndre Yedlin seemingly on the move this year, and Spence could now emerge as a top target to replace him.
