Liverpool and Everton are reportedly keen on Turkish ace Yusuf Yazici.
According to Turkish Football, Everton and Liverpool both sent scouts to watch Trabzonspor playmaker Yusuf Yazici in action against Konyaspor on Sunday evening ahead of possible moves of him.
Everton have already splashed the cash this summer in order to sign the likes of Jordan Pickford, Michael Keane, Davy Klaassen, Sandro Ramirez and Wayne Rooney, but Liverpool have only managed to bring in Andrew Robertson, Mohamed Salah and Dominic Solanke this summer.
Turkey’s Yusuf Yazici
Both Merseyside clubs could yet dip into the transfer market before the deadline later this month, and the two rivals could even battle for the signature of the same playmaker.
Turkish Football report that both Everton and Liverpool sent scouts to watch Trabzonspor take on Konyaspor on Sunday evening, with Trabzonspor starlet Yusuf Yazici believed to be the reason for their trip.
Yazici, 20, was born in Trabzon and came up through the ranks with Trabzonspor having joined the club way back in 2008, eventually becoming an important first-team player at the Medical Park Arena.
The playmaker hit six goals and ten assists in 22 appearances last season, and played 88 minutes in Trabzonspor’s 2-1 win over Konyaspor, with Everton and Liverpool allegedly keeping a close eye on the midfielder.
Jurgen Klopp and Ronald Koeman
Touted as one of Turkish football’s top young talents, Yazici could be am midfielder for Jurgen Klopp to develop alongside the likes of Marko Grujic and Ovie Ejaria, but a move to Everton could be a surprise this summer.
The Toffees have added Davy Klaassen and Wayne Rooney this summer, whilst Swansea City’s Gylfi Sigurdsson is also on his way to Goodison Park, meaning that adding another central attack-minded player shouldn’t be a priority right now – but he could be a player to keep an eye on for the future.
