Everton and Leicester City are among four Premier League clubs tracking Coventry City’s teenage scoring sensation Jordan Ponticelli, according to the Irish Sun.
The pair are said to be leading the group of interested parties, which also includes Crystal Palace and newly-promoted Huddersfield Town.
Ponticelli helped Coventry’s Under-18s secure the Professional Development League title this past season – scoring more goals [27] than any other player in the division.
However, the 18-year-old is yet to feature for the Sky Blues’ first team – something he admits left him feeling disappointed [Coventry Telegraph].

A move to Everton – who last summer robbed Coventry of another promising striker, Bass Sambou – could therefore strongly appeal to Ponticelli, given the Toffees’ commitment to blooding young talents in 2016-17.
The Merseyside club are said to have watched the Coventry-born striker on several occasions this year, with manager Ronald Koeman receiving positive feedback.

However, it is claimed that Leicester are also “well aware” of Ponticelli’s ability, and the King Power Stadium could be a favourable destination, from a geographical perspective.

And while Crystal Palace could yet muscle in on the pair’s plans, the report adds that the Eagles “could fall behind in the scramble for his services” while they continue to search for a new manager.
Would Everton, Leicester City or Crystal Palace be best for Ponticelli?
