According to a report in The Sun, Everton and Birmingham City are both chasing Junior Sambia.

The 20-year-old from Chamois Niortais has caught the eye through his performances in the French second division this season.

Sambia is believed to have the potential to be a good addition for English clubs, and Everton and Birmingham have both been tracking him in recent weeks.

Everton would, of course, be able to offer Sambia Premier League football, if he was to move to Goodison Park.

However, Sambia’s chances of starting regularly would likely to be increased with a switch to Birmingham.

Harry Redknapp is keen to upgrade the quality of his squad at St. Andrews, as he looks to bring about an improvement for his side next term.

Birmingham only narrowly avoided relegation this past campaign, and the pressure is on them to show far more quality next time around.

Everton, meanwhile, finished in seventh place in the Premier League table this season.
