Everton, Aston Villa and Arsenal are all keen on Middlesbrough winger Marcus Tavernier, according to The Mail.

Tavernier is just establishing himself in the Middlesbrough team, with his goal coming in the recent derby against Sunderland.

He has also been called into England’s under-19 squad.

Aston Villa’s chances of landing him are a lot lower than Premier League sides Everton and Arsenal.

His current contract expires next summer but Middlesbrough have an option to extend it, which is likely after his recent breakthrough into the first team.

The interest is bound to be a confidence boost to Tavernier, and will certainly give him pull when it comes to negotiating a new deal.
