According to an exclusive report from Team Talk, Crystal Palace have agreed a £10million fee for Everton striker Oumar Niasse, with a medical set to take place later today.

The 27-year-old had been tipped to make a move to newly promoted Brighton and Hove Albion before this evening’s deadline. However it seems the Eagles have stolen a march and offered a fee Everton deem acceptable at this late stage of the transfer window.

Niasse is now due for a medical in the coming hours and if everything goes according to plan, he should be announced as a Palace player before this evening’s deadline.

The Senegal international has featured just seven times for Everton and he spent last season on loan at Hull City, scoring five goals and providing one assist in 19 appearances.

He filled his boots for the Toffees’ under-23 side, finding the net eight times in just seven games. However he struggled for matches ahead of the prolific Romelu Lukaku and, even with the Belgian international moving on, there seems to be no place for Niasse in Ronald Koeman’s plans.

Everton need a new striker of their own to replace their former top-scorer, but only time will tell if they get a deal over the line in time.
