According to Gianluca di Marzio, Everton have reached an agreement with Zenit St Petersburg for Axel Witsel.
The Belgian international midfielder looks set to leave Zenit St Petersburg this summer after impressing for his country at Euro 2016.
A number of clubs are thought to be interested in his services, with Zenit manger Mircea Lucescu claiming this week he had two offers from both Italy and England.

One of the English sides that have been credited with an interest are Everton, who are thought to be seeking a statement signing for Ronald Koeman this summer.
And it appears Witsel could be that man, with Gianluca Di Marzio reporting that they have an agreement in place with the Russian giants for his signature.

According to their report, the Blues have agreed a fee of €30 million, around £25 million, for the Belgian – and he may be keen on the move, with Di Marzio also claiming he is considering rejecting the offers from Italy and making the switch to Goodison Park.
It now remains to be seen if they can convince him to make the move, but this latest update indicates Ronald Koeman may be close to making his first major signing as Everton manager.
