Roma are looking at Celtic striker Odsonne Edouard as they prepare for life without star man Edin Dzeko, as reported by Leggo.
The exodus is most certainly underway.
Since the turn of the year, both Jeremie Frimpong and Olivier Ntcham have leapt from a seemingly sinking Celtic ship, joining Bayer Leverkusen and Marseille during the January transfer window.
With their contracts expiring in 2022, it is expected that both Kristoffer Ajer and reigning SPFA Player of the Year Edouard will also be reaching for the lifeboats sooner rather than later.
Edouard, Celtic’s £9 million record signing, has endured a somewhat difficult season – not that the statistics bear that out. In 28 games, the France U21 international has still scored 17 times; more than everyone in Rangers’ squad, except penalty-kick king James Tavernier of course.

While Edouard is not dominating the gossip columns like he was at this stage 12 months ago, when countless Premier League clubs were rumoured to be interested, the silky striker still has a few admirers on the continent.
One of those is a Roma side scouring the market for a man capable of stepping into the shoes of a living legend.
Veteran frontman Dzeko has been stripped of the captain’s armband after a high-profile row with head coach Paulo Fonseca.
According to Corriere dello Sport, the £130,000-a-week Bosnian is destined to depart in June. Like Julius Caeser, he came, he saw, he conquered and his demise will be swift and ruthless.
The Giallorossi are allegedly looking for a younger model to take Dzeko’s place, with the eyes of Rome turning to Edouard.
