According to The Athletic, Gary Cahill and Scott Dann are options for Leicester as they look to replace the injured Wesley Fofana.
What’s the story?
Well, Brendan Rodgers is in need of a new centre-back after Fofana damaged his medial ligament in a pre-season friendly against Villarreal.
The Foxes – who are in this season’s Europa League – are eyeing up the free agent market as a result, where Cahill and Dann currently reside.
Crystal Palace allowed both centre-backs to leave for nothing this summer after their contracts expired at Selhurst Park.
It was a bold decision, as both men boast a huge amount of Premier League experience.
Just having the pair around SE25 would’ve been beneficial to the younger players at Crystal Palace.
Have Crystal Palace made a mistake?

At first glance, you could argue that the Eagles have made a mistake, seeing as a Europa League side are eyeing their cast-offs.
However, Crystal Palace were right to let them leave.
Cahill is 35. Dann is 34. Both are nearing the end of their careers, and the south Londoners desperately needed to freshen things up.

Anyway, it’s not as if Leicester are all over the pair as soon as they left Crystal Palace.
The Foxes are only looking at them because of Fofana’s unfortunate injury.
In our view, Crystal Palace were spot on in their decision to offload the duo.
