Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane is looking for playmakers capable of replacing Everton target Isco and, according to Defensa Central, Aston Villa captain Jack Grealish is at the top of his wish list.
Villa’s home-grown Holte End hero might have only put pen to paper on a new five-year contract a few weeks ago but, if you expected that to put an end to the incessant speculation, it was wishful thinking.
As long as Grealish is ripping apart the likes of Arsenal and Liverpool while enhancing his burgeoning reputation on the international stage, the modern day ‘Gazza’ will continue to attract admiring glances from some of football’s genuine A-listers.
And, according to reports from the Spanish capital, three-time Champions League-winning coach Zidane has become a paid-up member of the Grealish fan club.
The Real Madrid boss apparently sees the fleet-footed Brummie as the ideal addition to a Blancos midfield in desperate need of an injection of youth and creativity – especially with the once-brilliant Isco a fading shadow of his former self.

DC suggests Grealish’s arrival would push Isco further towards the Santiago Bernabau exit.
The Spain international has been linked with an £18 million move to Everton, with the Mirror suggesting he’s keen to go down the James Rodriguez route in an attempt to revive his stalling career under former Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti.
But if Everton are hoping for a favour from their Premier League rivals, they could be waiting for a long time.
Ambitious Aston Villa have big plans and Grealish is integral to all of them. What’s more, even the lure of Real Madrid might not be enough to tempt England’s most in-form player away from his boyhood club.
