The Liverpool left-back Yasser Larouci features prominently on the shortlist of Olympiacos, according to To10.gr.

And the Greek website claims that a ‘channel of communication’ has already been opened between the Super League and Premier League champions, ‘to see if there is fertile ground for a transfer to take place’.

Liverpool are said to have ‘opened the door’ for Larouci to leave, having strengthened their options in the French-Algerian’s position with the signing of Kostas Tsimikas from Olympiacos.

And Pedro Martins’ side ‘seem ready to make Larouci their own’, according to To10.gr.

The Greek website adds that Larouci, who is in the final year of his contract at Liverpool, does not want to spend it in the Reds’ Under-23s.

As a result, Olympiakos are said to have ‘come to the fore as the team with the best chance’ to acquire him, due to the relationship that developed through the Tsimikas transfer.

It is noted however that the Greeks would have to buy Larouci, although Liverpool are willing to facilitate a move to the Karaiskakis Stadium, according to To10.gr.

The teenager was brought to Liverpool in 2017 from Le Havre and has appeared twice for Jurgen Klopp’s first team since then.
