According to Football.London, Arsenal central defender Konstantinos Mavropanos is in high demand.
It has been reported that clubs across Europe are ‘closely monitoring’ Mavropanos, who is on loan at Stuttgart from Arsenal at the moment.
The report has claimed that Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta will welcome back the Greece international for pre-season, but it remains to be seen if the 23-year-old gets in his first-team squad for the 2021-22 campaign.
Future at Arsenal?
Mavropanos has been doing well at Stuttgart this season, having joined the German club on loan from Arsenal in the summer of 2020.
According to WhoScored, the 23-year-old has made 13 starts and two substitute appearances in the Bundesliga so far this campaign.
The centre-back is progressing well, and it would make sense for Arteta to take a closer look at him in pre-season.

However, it is going to be hard for Mavropanos to break into the team. After all, the Gunners are not short of options in central defence.
David Luiz (out of contract in the summer of 2021), Calum Chambers, Rob Holding, Pablo Mari, Gabriel and Willian Saliba (out on loan) are the options for Arteta.
Meanwhile, Football.London has reported that Arsenal are likely to take up their option to extend Zech Medley’s contract by another year.
