Estudiantes want to sell Juan Foyth to Tottenham Hotspur.

Argentine newspaper El Dia report Estudiantes are trying to sell Juan Foyth to Tottenham Hotspur.

As it stands Paris Saint-Germain have submitted the highest offer and are Foyth’s most likely destination, having re-established their interest in the past 24 hours.

Their £12 million offer is likely to be enough, but Estudiantes reportedly want the attention of selling to an English Premier League club as opposed to a French team.

Young centre-back and Argentine under-20 international Foyth is currently studying a contract offer from PSG.

El Dia reported yesterday that his preference is to sign with Spurs after receiving a phone call from Mauricio Pochettino earlier this transfer window outlining his plans for him.

But Estudiantes now fear Tottenham have gone quiet because they are focused on trying to sign Ajax’s Davinson Sanchez.

They are ‘in communication’ with Tottenham but have not received an offer to match PSG’s bid.

The Argentine side are keen to cash to raise money, and want a deal done within the week.

Time is running out for Spurs, but the reality is Sanchez is a more attractive option for them, but with Ajax demanding as much as £45 million for him, they could yet decide Foyth is a viable option.

Ajax signed Sanchez from South American football for just £5 million last summer. Tottenham could try and do this themselves with Foyth if the Ajax man proves too expensive.
