Espanyol are reportedly interested in signing Federico Fazio from Tottenham Hotspur in the summer transfer window.

Espanyol are interested in signing Federico Fazio from Tottenham Hotspur in the summer transfer window, according to Sport.
It has been reported that talks between Espanyol and Fazio are at an advanced stage.
It has also been claimed that Tottenham are keen to move the Argentina international defender on.
According to Sport, the 29-year-old centre-back is happy to sign a four-year contract with Espanyol, who will now have to reach an agreement with Spurs regarding the transfer fee.
“Espanyol president Chen Yansheng was in London this week, accompanied by CEO Ramon Robert, to talk about the deal,” adds the report in Sport.

Fazio joined Tottenham from Spanish club Sevilla in the summer of 2014 for a transfer fee reported by The Guardian at the time to be worth £8 million.
The defender has a contract with the North London outfit until June 2018, according to Transfermarkt.co.uk.
The centre-back struggled to play well for Tottenham during the 2014-15 season and was sent out on loan to his former club Sevilla in the January transfer window.

During the 2014-15 campaign, the 29-year-old featured in 20 Premier League matches for Spurs.
Fazio was able to play just four times in La Liga and only twice in the Europa League during his loan spell at Sevilla.
