Tottenham Hotspur playmaker Christian Eriksen may be heading off to Manchester United.

According to the Daily Mail, the representatives of Tottenham Hotspur playmaker Christian Eriksen are hoping to sort out a shock move to Manchester United this week.
Eriksen, 27, suggested after Tottenham’s Champions League final defeat to Liverpool that he is open to a new challenge, having spent six years with Spurs.
The Dane hasn’t moved on yet though, which is something of a surprise, and with a move to Real Madrid looking unlikely, Manchester United want to pounce.
The Red Devils are ‘working on a deal’ to sign Eriksen before Thursday’s transfer deadline, and his representatives are hoping to get the move rushed through.
Daniel Levy won’t be a pushover in negotiations, and will demand a huge price from United, given that the two teams are rivals for the top four in the Premier League.
However, the report does also note that Spurs are ‘on the verge’ of agreeing a deal to sign Sporting playmaker Bruno Fernandes, seemingly prioritising him over Real Betis star Giovani Lo Celso now.

Fernandes, 24, would be a hugely exiting signing after hitting 32 goals and 18 assists for Sporting last season, representing a superb replacement for Eriksen with technical ability, goalscoring threat from long range and great set pieces.
Spurs won’t want to see Eriksen go, especially to a Premier League rival, but if they can get Fernandes in, they will at least have a big-name replacement for the Dane – and that’s exactly what fans will want.
