TalkSPORT claim that Wolves are now willing to sell Adama Traore to Tottenham before the end of the January window. However, Spurs are still £5million short of the Spain star’s £20million asking price.
The 25-year-old remains Tottenham’s top target, and perhaps, only potential signing between now and the end of January. The Spain international is seen as a long-term option on the right of Antonio Conte’s 3-4-3 system.
It had been believed prior to the latest report that Wolves were keen to keep Traore until the summer, with Bruno Lage remaining confident that Traore was a key part of his plans. But he is now in the final 18 months of his deal.
Wolves may have to sell this month, in order to get a decent fee for him and TalkSPORT claim they have changed their tune. Indeed, they are now willing to get a deal done this month – but for a figure of £20million.
The same report states that Fabio Paratici and Tottenham remain locked in talks to sign the ex-Middlesbrough and Barcelona wide man. However, their £15million offer is currently £5million below Traore’s price tag.

The issue for many is his lack of goals and assists. This season, in 22 games, he has scored one and failed to create any more. His best season came under Nuno in 2019-20, having a hand in 18 during 54 appearances.
But ultimately, the concerns of fans is fair. He has played 153 times and only scored 11 times for Wolves, laying on 18 assists. But it is what else he does, that is so worth the money for Tottenham.
Against Leicester, Spurs thrived on the counter and should have won by more than the 3-2 scoreline. Traore’s pace, power and ability to get his team up the pitch is second to none – and worth £20million alone.
