Emre Can has been undoubtedly one of the top performers for Liverpool this season. The German international has stepped up in his central midfield role, but doubts remain on his Anfield future.

The 24-year-old will be a free agent in the summer, and he is yet to sign a contract extension with the Reds.

The Reds have been in tug of war with Bayern over the signing of 22-year-old midfielder, who will also be a free agent in the summer.

Bayern are leading the race for Goretzka at the moment, but if he chooses Liverpool then it would pave the way for Can to return to Germany.
