Former Arsenal boss Unai Emery could scupper Mikel Arteta’s plan to buy David Raya from Brentford, La Razon report.
Emery, who is now in charge at Villarreal, has identified Raya as a potential target – but Arsenal are also heavily linked with the goalkeeper.
According to 90 Minutes, Arsenal are ready to launch a bid of the 24-year-old stopper, and the Telegraph have backed up those claims today.
Arsenal may move for Raya if Emi Martinez does depart the Emirates Stadium this summer.
However, whether Raya will still be at Brentford by then remains to be seen.
Emery apparently wants his side to sign the Spaniard, who has impressed at Championship level this season.

If Villarreal do attempt to sign Raya soon that could be a blow to Arsenal, as the ‘keeper may not be available to sign by the time they are in position to bid.
But Arsenal have little need to make an offer right now, while Martinez and Bernd Leno both remain at the club.
