Jakupovic’s departure will be a huge blow for Leonid Slutsky and his squad, with the start of the Championship just three weeks away.
Hull City midfielder, David Meyler, has more or less confirmed the move with this message on Twitter:
The 32-year-old is likely to replace Ron-Robert Zieler and is expected to provide competition for first choice Kasper Schmeichel. Given his quality, Leicester will be getting a very good back up goalkeeper on a bargain deal.
He was brilliant for Hull City last season, and was open to the prospect of a Premier League return.
Hull City have already lost the likes of Harry Maguire, Curtis Davies, Tom Huddlestone and Josh Tymon, while Andy Robertson could also leave the club to join Liverpool in the coming days.
