Mahmoud Trezeguet is reportedly on the verge of becoming Aston Villa’s ninth signing of the summer transfer window.

Highly-rated Egypt winger Mahmoud Trezeguet is edging closer to a move to Aston Villa after he agreed personal terms with the club, according to a report.
King Fut have claimed that Trezeguet’s move to the Midlands outfit took a significant step on Sunday with the 24-year-old agreeing to personal terms.
This comes after Villa had agreed to sign the speedster from Kasimpasa for £8 million as they beat the likes of Saint Etienne to his signature, according to the Sun.
If Trezeguet’s signing is confirmed in these coming days then he’ll become Dean Smith’s ninth signing of the summer.
He will add Villa with much-needed depth and competition out on the flanks as he will compete with the likes of Anwar El Ghazi, Jota and Andre Green for starting places.

Someone like El Ghazi is already ahead of him in the pecking order because he was on loan at the club last season and also opened the scoring for Villa during their 2-1 Championship play-off final win over Derby in May.
Added with that, summer capture Jota is also making a name for himself in the starting XI because he has impressed during Villa’s first two pre-season encounters.
Nonetheless, if Trezeguet does put pen-to-paper then he’ll become the second Egyptian to be a part of Villa’s current set-up, with his international teammate Ahmed Elmohamady playing at right-back.
