Liverpool will sign at least one attacker even if they miss out on the Champions League spots, according to Goal.

Liverpool are currently sat in eighth place in the Premier League table, and their chances of breaking into the top four look slim.

Although they do have the hope of winning the Champions League, that is sure to be a tough ask given their recent form in domestic competition.

Jurgen Klopp is now already putting plans in place for next season with Liverpool’s recruitment team.

And it is claimed that it has already been decided by Michael Edwards and co. that signing another forward will be the club’s priority.

Liverpool’s attack hasn’t looked anywhere near as dangerous as it has in recent years this time around, with their lack of depth clear to see.

Takumi Minamino has been loaned out, while Xherdan Shaqiri and Divock Origi have both struggled when offered starting chances.

Liverpool now apparently believe that none of the trio will be good enough to stake a claim for a regular starting spot and their intention is to bolster their attack with a new player.

If Liverpool can get the signing right, then it could be crucial to their chances of success next term.

Liverpool still have a fearsome attack when it’s firing on all cylinders, and if they can add more quality to Sadio Mane, Mohamed Salah, Roberto Firmino and Diogo Jota then the Reds should be a force to reckoned with once again.
