Arsenal have added Toni Lima to their scouting ranks, and there is another new face in the recruitment department in Romain Poirot.
That’s according to Football.London, who claim that Edu has made three additions to Arsenal’s scouting department this summer.
Lima is the headline addition, but Arsenal have also brought in Fulham first team scout James Ellis as well as Poirot.
The Frenchman has had a lengthy career in English football, first starting out as an academy scout at Nottingham Forest.
He ended up at Manchester City in December 2010, and admitted his role in raiding Arsenal for one key transfer.
Poirot told Get French Football News in 2018 that he was involved in the deal that took Samir Nasri from Arsenal to Manchester City in 2011.

With spells at Watford and Manchester United too, Poirot has been around the English game for a long time now, and will be called upon to find talent from France in this new Arsenal setup.
We couldn’t make it out of this one without a Poirot pun, so let’s see if Arsenal’s new man can investigate some potential transfers and uncover some great talent for the Gunners moving forward.
