Arsenal are said to be very keen on Alexander Isak of Real Sociedad, as they seek striking additions, The Athletic say.
Arsenal are yet to make a move for a forward this summer, but there are doubts over the futures of both Eddie Nketiah and Alexandre Lacazette.
The latest update suggests that if either of the pair do leave then Isak could be right at the top of Arsenal’s list of replacements.
That is largely because Edu is a huge fan of the Swedish youngster, and the Gunners recruitment staff are also said to love him.
Zlatan Ibrahimovic, his compatriot, is also a big admirer of Isak, saying to SportsKeeda: “I have seen him in action and he is fantastic.”
Cracking endorsment
Such an endorsement bodes well for Arsenal, as does the fact that he hit 17 goals in Spain’s top flight last term.
At the age of just 21, Isak looks to be one of the hottest striking prospects in Europe and he once again fits the mould of what Arsenal are looking to sign.
The Gunners appear to have a real long-term plans, with youngsters who Arteta can develop emerging as their top targets.

Many of Arsenal’s older players are being allowed to leave this summer, with vibrant prospects sought to replace them.
That may mean that the Gunners success in the short-term is limited.
However, Arsenal will hope that their targets can really progress under Arteta’s watchful eye, and their transfer plan will pay off in the years ahead.
