According to Football London, Edu has Odsonne Edouard and Patson Daka on his radar for Arsenal.
Football London’s report states that Tottenham are also eyeing Daka, who is dubbed the heir to Erling Braut Håland’s throne at RB Salzburg in the report.
In Edouard’s case, Football London say he emerged as a serious option for the north Londoners earlier this year and remains on their radar.
Impressively, the duo found the net at a phenomenal rate last season.
Daka scored 27 goals in all competitions last season for RB Salzburg, whereas Edouard also grabbed 27 for Celtic.
At 21 and 22 years of age respectively, Daka and Edouard would also represent fantastic long-term investments, in the respect that their ceiling for growth is very, very high.
As things stand, missing out on the dynamic duo hasn’t affected Mikel Arteta too much.
The Spaniard has overseen three wins from Arsenal’s four Premier League games so far this season, and has the likes of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Alexandre Lacazette and Eddie Nketiah to rely on for goals.
While the transfer window is now shut, meaning these deals cannot happen this year, it is especially encouraging to see Edu targeting such bright, young prospects.
Daka and Edouard are potential stars of the future, and if Arsenal can even get their hands on just one of them, they’ve done very well.
