According to Football London, Edu is set to sign a back-up left-back for Arsenal when the summer transfer window opens.
The Gunners were reportedly in for a left-back in January, with links to the likes of Junior Firpo emerging in the winter, but the Gunners didn’t manage to get anything over the line.
It seems as though that position remains a priority, with Football London claiming that Edu is set to bring in a back-up for Kieran Tierney at the end of the season.
Who that will be remains to be seen, but it’s great to hear that Arsenal are already identifying areas that need addressing at the end of this campaign.
The Gunners could certainly do with getting another left-back through the door, they’ve had to use Cedric Soares as Tierney’s back-up this season, and while the Portugal international has done a stellar job at times, that’s not his natural position.

Arsenal certainly have a lot to do in the transfer market this summer, but it seems as though one of their problem positions is going to be plugged imminently.
Hopefully, Edu has a shortlist drawn up and he’s ready to move as soon as the window opens.
A new left-back would certainly be a welcomed addition to Mikel Arteta’s squad.
