According to the Daily Mail, Arsenal are ready to offload a host of players as they desperately try to fund a move for Atletico Madrid ace Thomas Partey.
It’s claimed that Partey wants to join Mikel Arteta’s side, but finding the money to purchase him will be a big issue for the Gunners.
Midfielders Matteo Guendouzi and Lucas Torreira could be sold to fund a move, whilst striker Alexandre Lacazette is another candidate to go.
Francis Cagigao – Arsenal’s head of international recruitment – is believed to be the man working on a deal, having also found Gabriel Martinelli last summer.
Arteta and technical director Edu have allegedly approved a move for Partey, and the task now is to find the cash to bring him in.
The Ghanaian, 27, has been identified as the man to bring some steel to the Arsenal midfield, having starred under Diego Simeone in recent years.

Partey is far from just a ‘strong destroyer’ in midfield, which is how he may be labelled. He is impressive on the ball, his passing range is decent, he reads the game well and protects his defence admirably.
It seems that Arsenal need to offload multiple players to pull off a move, but offloading two in-and-out midfielders in Guendouzi and Torreira in order to land a key player in Partey would make sense.
