West Ham United have reportedly failed with a move for Edin Dzeko.

According to FC Inter News, Roma striker Edin Dzeko has chosen a move to Inter Milan – and rejected West Ham United in the process.

Dzeko, 33, is out of contract next summer, and Roma look set to cash in now rather than allowing him to run his deal down.

The Bosnian hitman has been a wanted man, but it’s thought that Inter are set to secure his signature after offering Roma €14million (£12.6million).

Dzeko would actually take a pay cut on to £77,000-a-week at Inter, but he’s thought to have snubbed a host of other clubs to work under Antonio Conte.

It’s stated that he’s rejected offers from West Ham, Fenerbahce and Galatasaray, as well as teams in China and the United States having chosen to stay in Italy.

Dzeko is a real goalscorer having racked up 87 goals in 179 games for Roma, having arrived from Manchester City in 2015.

Dzeko worked with West Ham boss Pellegrini at City, hitting 26 goals in his first season under the Chilean, before scoring just six times in the second campaign together and ultimately moving on.

Adding a veteran striker would have been ideal having lost Marko Arnautovic, Lucas Perez and Andy Carroll, but Sebastien Haller is the new main man at the London Stadium, meaning Dzeko may actually fancy his chances of first-team football at Inter over West Ham.
