Eddie Howe has decided to ask Brendan Rodgers for advice about Celtic as the considers becoming their new manager.
That’s according to The Mirror, who claim that Howe sought the input of Rodgers as the saga surrounding himself and Celtic goes on.
The Scottish Sun reported late in March that Howe was ‘seriously interested’ in becoming Celtic manager, before then suggesting earlier this month that a deal was close.
Howe has since distanced himself from a move via his agents, and it doesn’t look like he’ll be making a return to management before the summer.
That does give him some time to ask questions about Celtic, and it’s claimed that he went to Rodgers in search of advice about his time at Parkhead.
Rodgers claimed to have grown up supporting Celtic, and it’s hard to imagine he offered anything but positive words about his time at Parkhead.

After becoming Bhoys boss in 2016, Rodgers won seven trophies with the club including an unbeaten league campaign and a double treble before heading to Leicester City in 2019.
Rodgers may not be all that popular with Celtic fans now due to his exit, but he surely bigged up the club when speaking to Howe.
Now it’s up to the former Bournemouth boss to make up his own mind.
