Glasgow Rangers appear to be closing in on their 11th signing of the summer, with Jack Simpson reportedly on the Ibrox side’s radar.

Steven Gerrard has been able to enjoy an incredibly productive summer. As the Scottish Premiership season opener with Aberdeen looms, the Light Blues appear to be putting the finishing touches on their business, with Gerrard searching for the club’s 11th signing of the window.
And it appears that Simpson may fill the role. Mail Sport reports that Rangers are looking to loan the 21-year-old for the coming campaign, and it seems that Cherries boss Howe is all for a deal.

It appears to be something of a potential coup for the Gers. The early signs suggest that the signings of Connor Goldson and Nikola Katic could prove to be inspired – Goldson, in particular, has been superb since arriving – but they still need cover in that area of the field.
Simpson is an unproven talent, but is clearly highly thought of at Bournemouth so perhaps he could prove to be an excellent addition to the Rangers ranks as they look to battle on several fronts during the coming year.
