Dwight Gayle is a player in demand, with Leeds United, Stoke City and West Bromwich Albion reported to be interested in signing the Newcastle United striker in the summer transfer window.
According to The Express & Star, West Brom have made a loan offer to Newcastle for Gayle, but the Magpies have turned it down.
According to The Daily Star, Leeds and Stoke want to secure the services of the former Crystal Palace striker this summer.
Newcastle manager Steve Bruce recently told The Chronicle that he wants the 29-year-old striker to stay at St. James’ Park beyond the summer.
However, according to The Express & Star, Gayle, who is claimed to earn £65,000 per week as salary, wants to leave Newcastle on a permanent basis.
With Gayle reportedly willing to leave the Magpies, Leeds do have a chance to landing the striker on transfer deadline day.
The 29-year-old will be a more than capable replacement for Kemar Roofe, who recently left the Whites for Belgian club Anderlecht.
According to WhoScored, Gayle made 34 starts and six substitute appearances in the Championship for West Brom last season, scoring 24 goals and providing two assists in the process.
