Newcastle United are set to take on Barnsley in their final game of the season.
According to a report in the Shields Gazette, both Dwight Gayle and Vurnon Anita could be fit for Newcastle United’s final game of the season.
Gayle and Anita have both returned to training recently, as they have stepped up their recovery process.
The pair have both been sidelined of late, as Newcastle have sealed their promotion to the Premier League.

Gayle has been out for nearly a month with injury, while Anita missed Rafael Benitez’s side’s latest contest against Cardiff City.
Whether either Gayle or Anita will be risked in Newcastle’s next match, which comes against Barnsley on Sunday, remains to be seen.

Benitez will not want either of the duo to rush back their comebacks, but Newcastle do still have outside hopes of winning the title.
Brighton have taken their foot off the gas recently, which means that Newcastle can take the Championship title – if Chris Hughton’s men fail to win against Aston Villa, and they pick up all three points.
