Tottenham Hotspur boss Jose Mourinho is keen to sign a target-man striker this summer, the Telegraph suggest.
Tottenham have been linked with a move for Callum Wilson of Bournemouth throughout the transfer window so far.
However, Mourinho apparently has his eyes on a bigger aerial threat.
Tottenham want to find a number nine who can make an impact off the bench, and Mourinho is keen for them to be a powerful presence.
Tottenham know that whoever they bring in will play second fiddle to Harry Kane, so finding a player who is happy to join to play a covering role is fairly difficult.
Tottenham have been linked with Troy Deeney this summer in The Sun, and it could be that the Watford striker fits the mould of what Mourinho is looking for.
Wilson is a more rapid target, who can get in behind defences, but he doesn’t have the target-man qualities that Mourinho is apparently looking for, and that could put any move to Spurs in doubt.
