According to Bild, Borussia Dortmund talent Giovanni Reyna is set to sign a new deal with the club despite links to Liverpool.
It’s claimed that Reyna is likely to pen a new long-term deal when he turns 18 in November, and he stands to earn big money.
Despite having the option to extend his deal until 2023, Dortmund now want to keep him for even longer, and are prepared to double his money.
That would take him onto around £43,500-a-week, which is not bad money for a teenager just making his way in the game.
The news may come as something of a blow to Liverpool, as the Reds are keen on signing Reyna according to Jan Aage Fjortoft, as he recently told Empire of the Kop, whilst Bild backed up those claims by stating that Jurgen Klopp wants him at Anfield.
That’s no great surprise; Reyna has excelled at Dortmund, racking up four assists and two goals in just five games this season, becoming one of the world’s finest prospects.

Born in Durham, Reyna could be tempted back to England one day, but the Liverpool links have a feel of being similar to Christian Pulisic’s persistent links to the Reds.
Dortmund players seem to be linked with Liverpool whether or not they played under Klopp, and being American only adds to the rumours because of Liverpool’s ownership.
Reyna ticks the same boxes as Pulisic, so it’s a rumour that makes some sense, but seems unlikely to happen – especially with these rumours of a new deal.
