According to Portuguese newspaper Record, Borussia Dortmund and RB Leipzig have joined the race to sign Liverpool talent Rafael Camacho this summer.

Camacho, 18, emerged with Sporting in his native Portugal before heading to Manchester City, and then Liverpool in 2016, where he has been coming through the ranks.

The teenager arrived as a winger, but has adapted his game during his time at Anfield, and is now considered to be more of a wing back or even full back, featuring there under Jurgen Klopp earlier this season.

Camacho has made two first-team appearances this season, but that may not be enough to convince him to stay at Anfield, as Sky Sports claim that talks over a new deal have stalled.

His contract expires next summer, meaning Liverpool face needing to sell this summer, and Record now claim that Bundesliga duo Borussia Dortmund and RB Leipzig are joining the race for Camacho’s signature.

A move to either of the two German sides could be hugely appealing, and may well present a path to first-team football, given how both teams embrace young players.

It’s also noted that Wolves are still keen to land Camacho this summer, but the presence of a major club like Dortmund means their plans could be impacted, whilst it looks more and more likely that the young contract rebel will be leaving Anfield one way or another soon.
