Borussia Dortmund ready to compete with Everton and West Ham for Arsenal striker Olivier Giroud.

Both Everton and West Ham United could be scuppered in their pursuit of Arsenal’s Olivier Giroud as Borussia Dortmund enter the race for the striker, according to the Mirror.

Giroud – who is currently away with the rest of the Gunners squad on a pre-season tour of Australia – has admitted that leaving the club is a possibility this summer.

This comes in the wake of the North London side’s record signing of Alexandre Lacazette, which has cast the 30-year-old’s starting role at the Emirates Stadium into doubt.

The Toffees and West Ham are the two Premier League teams showing the most interest in Giroud, while AC Milan and Olympique Marseille are also thought to be keeping tabs.

However, Dortmund have now joined the chase as they look to replace topscorer Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang; who in turn has been linked with Chelsea.

As the only one of the interested parties able to offer Champions League football in 2017/18, it would seem the Bundesliga outfit would probably have the edge as well.
