Borussia Dortmund are now trying to replace Jude Bellingham – and want two Liverpool targets in Edson Alvarez and Gabri Veiga.
That is according to a report from Sport Bild, who claim that Bellingham is nearing a staggering move to Real Madrid worth around €150million (£130million).
Dortmund of course need to replace Bellingham and allegedly plan to bring in two players to fill the hole in midfield.
One target is Ajax man Edson Alvarez, who can bring the defensive side of Bellingham’s game as a holding midfielder.
The other name on Dortmund’s radar is Celta Vigo star Gabri Veiga, who has a €40million (£35million) release clause.
Veiga has bagged nine goals and four assists this season and is viewed as a player who can replace Bellingham’s attacking output.

Liverpool have been eyeing Edson Alvarez and Gabri Veiga
Liverpool wanted Bellingham for a long time before deciding to back away from the race for his signature.
The Reds decided that it would be better to bring in two or three midfielders for the same price as Bellingham.
A number of midfielders have been linked with moves to Liverpool as a result.
As luck would have it, two of them are now on Dortmund’s radar in Alvarez and Veiga.
Reporter Ben Jacobs told the LFC Transfer Room Podcast in April that Liverpool have been looking at Ajax ace Alvarez.
The Mexico international is a pure holding midfielder and would surely serve as competition for Fabinho in front of Liverpool’s back four.
Veiga has been heavily linked with Liverpool and Spanish reporter Manu Sainz told AS – as quoted by Sport Witness – last week that he thinks Veiga is heading to the Premier League this summer.
Sainz noted that he saw Veiga as being ‘closer to Liverpool’ than Real Madrid as the La Liga side focused on Bellingham.
Liverpool appear to be focusing on Alexis Mac Allister right now but seeing two targets in Alvarez and Veiga head to replace Bellingham would be pretty frustrating.
