According to Sky Germany, Borussia Dortmund must now scrap their plans to sell Tottenham Hotspur target Dan-Axel Zagadou.
It’s claimed that Zagadou was a candidate to be sold this summer, because his contract has just over a year left to run.
However, he is now injured yet again, meaning Dortmund must cancel their plans to sell him as they won’t be able to get a good price.
Zagadou will miss the rest of the season with a knee injury, and Dortmund may instead extend his contract to try and preserve some value long-term.
Zagadou has been targeted by Tottenham this season according to 90Min, with Spurs allegedly rating him very highly.
Unfortunately, the 21-year-old has now picked up 10 injuries since joining Dortmund from Paris Saint-Germain in 2017, missing 66 games in the process.

Broken bones, torn muscles, ruptured ligaments – Zagadou has been through it all in the last four years, and his injury record leaves Dortmund unlikely to get a price that matches his quality.
A giant centre back at 6ft 5in tall with ability on the ball whilst providing balance as a left-footed defender, Zagadou has so much going for him, but the injuries are holding him back.
Spurs would now be wise to look elsewhere, with Dortmund’s plans to sell in tatters after his latest setback.
