Liverpool are interested in Chelsea’s Dominic Solanke.
Dominic Solanke
Liverpool continue to be linked with Chelsea youth sensation Dominic Solanke, who is out of contract this summer.
The Mirror report the Reds face competitive from German side Red Bull Leipzig, who have been making waves in the Bundesliga this season.
Chelsea may prefer Solanke joins a non-English team if he does move on, but that would come at a cost.
The Blues could net £8 million for the teenager at a tribunal, The Mirror report, while if he joined a foreign club Chelsea would net next to nothing, a fee of just £350,000.
At that tiny price, it is little wonder Red Bull Leipzig are interested, and they won’t be the only ones.
England’s Dominic Solanke
£8 million is a lot of money for a player who has not started a Premier League game for Chelsea before, but Solanke cold be worth it.
He led England to European Championship glory at under-17 level, and has fired Chelsea to winning FA Youth Cups and UEFA Youth League titles.
His progress has stalled this season due to his ongoing contract dispute and a lack of match action, but last season he did get game time under his belt on loan at Vitesse Arnhem in Holland, where he scored seven goals.
