Liverpool are reportedly set to sign Chelsea striker Dominic Solanke.
Dominic Solanke
According to The Guardian, Chelsea striker Dominic Solanke has agreed terms with Liverpool and will head to Anfield this summer despite receiving offers from RB Leipzig and Celtic.
Solanke, 19, has been on the Chelsea books since 2004, and the young striker has been making his way up through the ranks at Stamford Bridge in a bid to push for the first team.

The striker has made just one first-team appearance for the Blues though, and whilst he hit seven goals in 26 games for Vitesse Arnhem during a loan spell in the 2015/16 season, he seemingly feels it’s time to play more football.
With Solanke out of contract this summer, he can walk away from Chelsea – and The Guardian report that he has agreed a deal to join Liverpool.

Solanke’s age means that Liverpool will have to pay compensation to Chelsea, and that figure is believed to be around £2million to £3million as the Reds seemingly prepare to add Solanke to their squad.
It’s claimed that manager Jurgen Klopp initially intends to place Solanke in Liverpool’s Under-23 side before promoting him into the first team, adding another attacking option to his arsenal.

With 24 goals in 48 games for England across various youth levels, Solanke has shown real promise in front of goal, and Liverpool will hope that he can live up to his potential on Merseyside having found first-team football almost impossible to come by at Chelsea.
The report adds that Solanke also had offers from Celtic – who viewed him as a possible replacement for Moussa Dembele – and RB Leipzig, but has rejected both in order to join Liverpool.
