According to The Express & Star, West Bromwich Albion are interested in signing Andre Gray from Watford in the summer transfer window.

It has been reported that West Brom – who will play in the Premier League this season after winning automatic promotion from the Championship – are looking at the 29-year-old as a potential alternative to Huddersfield Town striker Karlan Grant.

The report has added that Watford – who got relegated from the top flight of English football at the end of last season – have told West Brom that they are open to a loan deal over Gray.

Watford spell

Gray has been on the books of Watford since 2017 when he joined from Burnley.

According to WhoScored, the 29-year-old striker made seven starts and 16 substitute appearances in the Premier League for the Hornets last season, scoring two goals in the process.

During the 2018-19 campaign, the Englishman made 13 starts and 16 substitute appearances in the league for Watford, scoring seven goals and providing two assists in the process, according to WhoScored.

Back in 2017-18, Gray made 16 starts and 15 substitute appearances in the league for the Hornets, scoring five goals and providing two assists in the process, according to WhoScored.
