Nottingham Forest are demanding a huge fee for striker Britt Assombalonga as they look to fend off Burnley and Middlesbrough.
According to The Mirror, Nottingham Forest have slapped a £15million asking price on striker Britt Assombalonga amid interest from Burnley and Middlesbrough.
Forest splashed the cash to sign Assombalonga from Peterborough United in the summer of 2014, having hit 33 goals in 58 games for the Posh – and he has continued his goalscoring feats for Forest.

15 goals in 32 games in his first season was an impressive return before a terrible knee injury kept him out for over a year – and he has found the net 15 times in 37 appearances since his return.
Now, with the striker fully fit and firing, The Mirror note that Middlesbrough are keen to sign him to spearhead their push for promotion back to the Premier League, whilst Burnley have had a bid of £8million rejected.
However, it’s claimed that Forest are demanding a fee of £15million for Assombalonga, as they look to back manager Mark Warburton not only with new signings, but also with keeping key players.
Assombalonga did work with Burnley boss Sean Dyche at Watford, and a reunion could be appealing given that they can offer Premier League football, and should give him first-team football if he’s lined up as Andre Gray’s replacement.

Meanwhile, Middlesbrough do have Patrick Bamford and Rudy Gestede, but the end of Alvaro Negredo’s loan deal means that new manager Garry Monk wants another striker – and Assombalonga is his top target.
Yet with Forest demanding a huge fee for their star striker, Dyche and Monk could be left frustrated, and Forest fans will be delighted to see the club putting up a real fight to keep Assombalonga having lost the likes of Karl Darlow, Jamaal Lascelles and Oliver Burke in recent years.
